Hope In Motion

Theo: Our Current Beneficiary

Five-year-old Theodore — lovingly known as Theo — is at the heart of our current fundraising efforts.

After months of unexplained pain in his feet and difficulty walking, Theo was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia just days before Thanksgiving. What began as uncertainty quickly became a life-changing reality for his family. Following his diagnosis, Theo spent a week in the hospital and has since returned home, where his journey continues.

Theo now faces a long road ahead, including weekly hospital visits and chemotherapy treatments expected to last up to two years. Throughout it all, his family remains focused on caring for him while navigating the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that come with such a diagnosis.

Theo is one of four children, and his parents are doing everything they can to support their family during this difficult season. His mom homeschools their four boys, and together his parents are deeply involved in supporting their sons’ sports and activities. Their strong commitment to family, faith, and community reflects the same care and generosity they extend to others.

How We’re Showing Up

Our upcoming ice skating fundraiser is dedicated to Theo and his family, providing direct financial support as they focus on what matters most — his care, comfort, and healing. This event reflects exactly why Accelerating Hope exists: to step in quickly, rally our community, and ensure families facing medical hardship never walk alone.

As Theo continues his treatment journey, we invite our community to show up once again. Every registration, donation, and shared moment helps ease the burden and reminds this family they are surrounded by compassion and support.

A Community Showed Up, A Mission Was Born

From our very first fundraising event and the family it supported to the one we are walking alongside today, Accelerating Hope continues to grow through the generosity of our community. With each upcoming event, we look ahead with hope—ready to reach more families and meet them with care when it’s needed most.

Our Journey

Beth: Our First Beneficiary

Beth’s story is where Accelerating Hope began. Beth was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a deeply loved member of our community. When she was diagnosed with cancer, her condition progressed quickly, and it became clear that time mattered. In the face of uncertainty, one thing was certain — her family should not face it alone.

When Time Mattered Most

What began as concern quickly turned into action. Friends, family, and community members came together with urgency and compassion, determined to surround Beth and her loved ones with support. In just six weeks, a fundraiser was planned — not by an organization, but by a community choosing to show up.

Our First Event

Before the event could take place, Beth’s journey took a different turn. While she wasn’t able to be there in person, the love behind the event carried on. We hold comfort in believing she knew just how deeply her community rallied around her.

That fundraiser took the form of a car show, bringing together car clubs, local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and neighbors — many meeting for the first time, all united by one purpose: to support one family in their moment of need.

The Moment That Became a Mission

What started as a response to one family became something much bigger.

  • $20,000+ raised in a single day
  • 200+ community members involved, including sponsors, volunteers, and supporters
  • One family surrounded by overwhelming support

That day became the foundation of Accelerating Hope.

Beth’s story continues to guide our mission and shape everything we do — reminding us what it means to act quickly, give generously, and stand together when it matters most.

Looking Ahead

While each beneficiary’s story is unique, our mission remains the same — to respond with urgency, compassion, and care when families need it most. As Accelerating Hope continues to grow, future events will support new families facing medical or personal hardships, ensuring hope keeps moving forward.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our support, we encourage you to contact us so we can explore how to help. Together, one family at a time, we turn generosity into action.
